The Nuances of COVID-19: Getting Back to the Office and Recruiting in 2022

Stay informed on the employment law changes on tap for 2022, and what HR professionals and employers must know and do to avoid the risk that results from uninformed decisions.
This course will provide a summary of the legal framework and potential best practices in returning employees to the office and recruiting in 2022 as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. It will address legal requirements relating to a range of topics including virus testing, vaccinations, OSHA safety rules, and appropriately compensating employees who are returning to the office after working from home for extended periods.
- Understanding basic legal requirements and risks in having employees return to the office;
- Learning best practices for employee policies once employees have returned; and
- How best to communicate these requirements to employees and company management.
Conor J. Dale is a principal in the San Francisco office of Jackson Lewis P.C. He has experience representing employers in state and federal employment litigation including single-plaintiff discrimination, harassment, retaliation and breach of contract claims and wage and hour class action experience. He has particular expertise in contractual arbitration and representing employers in the technology industry, including defending companies and boards of directors from claims filed by current and former c suite executives.
Conor also has experience advising and counseling employers on all aspects of California and Federal employment law.
While in law school, Conor was an extern to the Hon. Suzanne Segal of the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
