Greg Astley, Director of Government Affairs, Oregon Restaurant & Lodging Association (ORLA)

Greg Astley is the Director of Government Affairs at the Oregon Restaurant & Lodging Association with almost twenty years of experience in media, marketing, strategic communications, association management and political consulting. Greg works to strengthen the prominence of ORLA’s advocacy program and foster broader engagement of both restaurant and lodging members on local, regional, statewide, and federal hospitality issues.

He was a board member with the Oregon Society of Association Management (OSAM) prior to becoming Oregon’s Region Chair at CalSAE in 2022. He currently serves on the Legislative Advisory Work Group.

Heyke Kirkendall-Baker, JD, SHRM-SCP, NW Employer Solutions, LLC

Heyke Kirkendall-Baker is an HR professional and employment attorney.  For more than 20 years, she has advised employers on a variety of employee issues, including employee relations, wage and hour compliance, pay equity analysis, leave of absences, independent contractor status, and compliance with federal and state laws.  She routinely handles difficult performance problems and high-risk terminations.  She has also conducted dozens of workplace investigations and favorably resolved a multitude of disputes with employees.
